The Expert Council of the International Association for Territorial Development (IATD) provides opportunities for businesses and regulators, including speed up project approval through the use of uniform standards, provides access to the best international practices and innovative solutions. At the early stages of initiative development the Expert advice will help to reduce legal and technological risks through standard solutions. The Expert Council facilitates the adaptation of innovative practices to local requirements and regulations, reduces barriers to implementation. For example, how to build a shopping mall in Turkey, or integrate your construction business into the United Arab Emirates – all these business tasks will be solved in practice.
The Expert Council will include government agencies representatives from various countries and the experts from professional, industry, business, scientific communities and public associations. The representatives of mass media and government authorities, including academic institutions, international organizations, and consulting companies are also invited.
«Relevant government agencies, developers and other member companies of the Association can contact the Expert Council with their difficulties and cases – we, for our part, are involved, either at the regulatory level (informing and assisting in the search for suitable solutions), or financing (searching for investors). A special working group will be created to help implement initiatives from conception to implementation. Pilot projects will be launched in Arab countries and Central Asia as early as 2025», says Dmitry Narinsky, Chairman of the Expert Council of the International Association for Territorial Development.
The Expert Council of the International Association for Territorial Development (IATD), with the participation of the world’s leading experts, will become a key platform for developing standards and recommendations in the field of urban planning, digitalization (AI, BIM) and spatial data management (GIS, geoservices) to help the business. Among the planned projects of the Expert Council are the development of regulatory guides (documents containing recommendations, standards and best international practices), the creation of pilot projects for the implementation of innovative solutions, training programs and webinars for regulators and businesses. The projects will be implemented in the participating countries with the involvement of local regulators, in pilot cities and regions for testing solutions and within the framework of international initiatives for the development of territories.
