On July 15-18, the delegation of the International Association for Territorial Development (IATD), headed by Chairman Vasil Mazitov, conducted a working trip to Tajikistan.
The visit purpose was to increase cooperation in digitalization of urban planning, land cadaster, technological exchange and key personnel training.
Among the key events, a meeting was held with the Chairman of the State Committee for Land Management and Geodesy of the Republic, Orif Ashuri. The delegation of the International Association for Territorial Development (IATD) studied the work of the Automatic Real Estate cadastral value registration system, electronic archive and cadastral registration processes. The delegates took part in discussions on important issues of land management with key departments of the republic: the Committee on Architecture and Construction, the State Committee for Investments. The delegation also visited the Dushanbe IT Park, where they discussed the acceleration of GovTech projects, including the modernization of cadastral systems and integration with the platforms of the International Association for Territorial Development (IATD).
The participants discussed the digitalization of urban planning documentation and energy-efficient design. Parties emphasized the importance of solutions for rural areas, where 76% of the population lives. At the end of the business trip of the International Association for Territorial Development (IATD) visited Tursunzade vineyards to do justice the potential of agrotourism and investment opportunities in agriculture.
Among the agreements reached following the visit were: staff training – The International Association for Territorial Development (IATD) organizes training of Tajik specialists in modern methods of land management, cadastral registration and territorial planning based on Russian standards. The training methods include internships, online courses and experience exchanges. The sides plan to jointly develop the Automatic Real Estate cadastral value registration system and expand the functionality of the NSDI geoportal. IATD and the State Committee for Land Management and Geodesy develop common data entry standards and update the directory of land use types.

Prospects of cooperation between Tajikistan and Russia in further expansion of partnership. The participants emphasize that the introduction of digital solutions in land management contributes transparency, cadastral data accuracy and land use efficiency. At the end of the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to continue the dialogue and develop working formats of interaction on an ongoing basis.
