Vasily Mazito, Chairman of the International Association for Territorial Development (IATD), took part in a meeting between representatives of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation and a delegation from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning of the Sultanate of Oman.
The Russian side was represented, among others, by Maria Sinichich, Director of the Department for Integrated Territorial Development at the Ministry of Construction of Russia. During the meeting, she presented Russia’s experience in implementing integrated territorial development mechanisms, as well as approaches to territorial and urban planning.
The Omani delegation included representatives of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, including Hannan Al Jabri, Yakub Al Harthi and Shadha Al Balushi.
The parties discussed territorial planning, integrated territorial development, modern approaches to urban development management, as well as opportunities for exchanging expertise and expanding cooperation between Russian and Omani organizations.
IATD’s participation in the meeting forms part of the Association’s ongoing work to strengthen Russian-Omani cooperation in territorial development, construction, real estate and investment.
From 5 to 9 October 2026, IATD will organize a business mission to the Sultanate of Oman, providing Russian developers, design firms, construction companies and technology businesses with an opportunity to meet relevant government authorities and representatives of Oman’s business and investment community.
